Twice a year, Xtreme STEM, a local not-for-profit, organizes competitive events that brings together student teams from all over Southwest Ohio to battle for BOT domination. The fall Xtreme BOTS competition is Saturday, November 3rd and will be hosted by Staub Manufacturing Solutions in our adjacent warehouse at 2551 Thunderhawk Court, Dayton, Ohio 45414.

Behind all the excitement of the BOTS competition (like sparks, flying metal parts and WWE style announcing) is the simple mission to inspire the next generation to consider a career in manufacturing. Each high-school team is matched with a manufacturing “mentor” company to help them with the design and build of the Bot. This connection is the ‘secret sauce’ of the program. It exposes the students to all aspects of modern manufacturing processes in a way that is interesting and memorable. Then when the time comes for them to choose a career path, manufacturing won’t be a mystery, it will be a viable career option.

STAUB is proud to support successful student-focused efforts like Xtreme BOTS to help turn the tide on the workforce shortage in the manufacturing industry.

The event begins at 8:30 am and is open to the public. Admission is $5 (suggested donation).
